INTRODUCTION

PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND THE BUSINESS YOU STARTED?

My name is Stephanie and I’m a certified life coach currently enrolled in my graduate studies for health and life coaching. After I graduated from college, I tried many different jobs because my bottom line was always my pursuit of happiness. I went from IT tech support, to tech writer, to customer service, to SEO content writer, podcast producer, digital marketer, even exotic dancer! I was searching for 1 thing that didn’t feel like work and I just couldn’t find it.

One day, I was speaking with my friends and they said why don’t you try life coaching? You’d make a great one! It suits your personality! So I took my friend’s recommendation to heart and enrolled to get my life coaching certification. I noticed that this certification wasn’t enough to work with what I wanted, which was something related to health, so I then enrolled to get my health coaching certification.

How did I niche in stress management and saying goodbye to stress? My mom’s stress lead her to end up with stage 4 cancer, and that’s when I knew there had to be a way to help people not fall into the health taxing rabbit hole of stress. So eventually, finding health and wellness coaching was it! It’s been tough because I come from a scarcity mindset, and some part of me never thought I could find something I was madly passionate about. Still, I did, and that makes me immensely happy!

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

PLEASE DESCRIBE THE PROCESS OF LAUNCHING YOUR BUSINESS.

I officially started by Nov 2019, recruiting some practice clients, and in Dec 2019, I launched my website. Branching out to the internet was the right move for me since I’m comfortable with web development and digital marketing.

I started from scratch. I’ve invested around 15-20k to get the knowledge and pay for the tools to be a successful online health and wellness coach. I did this all by myself. I leveraged my unique combination of skills to be able to create it all.

The feedback has been amazing! Some part of me thought that people wouldn’t be interested in stress management, and BOY WAS I WRONG! I love how wrong I was!

WHAT DOES YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE AND HOW DO YOU STAY PRODUCTIVE?

I wake up, check my email, and start by doing those things that I don’t really like first. I heard Marisa Peer speak that it was one of the habits of highly successful people, and it’s a great habit to implement. Getting the boring stuff out of the way first is truly amazing.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT AND YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE ALONG THE WAY?

Biggest Achievement: The fact that I was able to niche down fast on something I truly care about and execute from there.

Biggest Challenge: The uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship, but I manage this pretty well because I know people need and want what I have to offer. So I need to keep showing up for myself, enjoy the journey, be kind, and do the work. I know I’ll make my dreams come true with that formula.

WHAT STRATEGY DID YOU USE TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS? AND HOW?

Social media is my favorite outlet for relationship marketing. Since coaching is such a 1:1 and personal experience, creating relationships and offering a lot of value is really what’s going to attract my ideal clients.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF BUSINESS?

Creating a stress-free world. I like to dream BIG, as you can tell from the words I just chose, HAHA.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER WOMEN WHO WANT TO START THEIR OWN BUSINESS?

JUST DO IT ALREADY.
You’ll figure out the ‘how’ along the way.

WHAT BUSINESS IDEA YOU HAVE THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO SHARE WITH OTHERS?

I want to be able to have enough money to build a kinky home for the elderly. The golden lifers deserve to be able also to enjoy their sexuality while living in a home.
